IASA 2025 Partners with SEAPAVAA for a Joint Conference!
We’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 IASA Conference is joining forces with SEAPAVAA (SouthEast Asia-Pacific AudioVisual Archives Association) for a groundbreaking joint event! This collaboration brings together an extraordinary range of global voices in sound and audiovisual archiving, scholarship, and creative practice.
Theme: A Loss of Place: Preserving Climate Narratives, Cultural Identity, and Marginalized Voices through Audiovisual Media.
The 2025 conference centers on the profound ways climate change transforms landscapes and challenges cultural identities. Together, we’ll explore how archival practices, memory work, and creative expression can respond to environmental transformation and social complexity.
All submissions, whether traditional papers, case studies, creative works, or community-based initiatives are welcome.
Deadline Extended: Submit by April 21!
There’s still time to join this vibrant international gathering of archivists, scholars, artists, and practitioners. We encourage voices from all regions and disciplines to take part.
